I was fortunate to visit Norway recently on a cruise from Bergen to Kirkenes which culminated in a night in the Snow Hotel in Kirkenes.
What a fab place I loved it!
I guess it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and some of my friends thought I was completely mad! But I am so glad I did it.
Your bed’s surround is constructed of ice but the bed is actually not! (Phew!)
The temperature is -4°C but when it is -20°C outside it actually feels quite warm – well for a while! It is quite random sleeping in your bobble hat and many layers of clothes but it is definitely required to keep you cosy(ish).
