My Vitra Chair Fetish 1

Ever since I did an advertising project at University on Vitra Furniture, I always hoped one day I would own a part of the product range and now I have four original Eiffel chairs to complement the dining room furniture.

Being a designer, naturally, the Vitra brand and products appeal to me massively. The chairs are design icons and well-known in the world of furniture.
Designed by the legendary Charles and Ray Eames in 1948,  they are timeless design classics and iconic pieces of furniture.

I opted for the DSW fully upholstered version of the original, for extra comfort. The dark grey fabric contrasts with not only the white shell of the chair but also the walls and other items in the room.

I’m now looking for something to complement the new kitchen equally well, and have my eye on the George Nelson flock of butterflies clock (don’t tell my other half though!).

Below are some snaps I took of the chairs.
